Aurora Farmers Market – May 7 to October 29
Meet & greet people at the AFA Booth
• Arrive @ 9am
• Handout postcards, flyers and surveys
• Sell Festival Passes, Gala tickets, AFA Water-bottles and AJF Collector T-shirts
• Help with different AFA activities
• Pack-up booth @ 1pm

Yonge Street Festival in downtown Aurora – June 5th, 11am – 5pm
• Set up and break down the AFA booths
• Help at the AFA booths plus mingle with the street crowd handing out flyers
• Chat with the public about the Aurora jazz+ Festival & June 9th Black Tie Gala Fundraiser
• Listen to great music coming from the AFA stage!

Black Tie Gala Fundraiser – June 9th @ 6pm
*Must be 19+ to volunteer for this event
• 3 Smart Serve ladies needed to sell truffles, tantalizing shots & tickets
• 2 Assistants – must have a valid drivers license
• 2 Runners – must have a valid drivers license

Canada Day Parade in Aurora – July 1st
Help celebrate Canada’s birthday….
• Decorate AFA float
• Walk with the float
• Break down float

Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce Home Show – July 1st
• Help set up AFA booth
• Hand out flyers and talk with public about the Aurora jazz+ Festival
• Sell Festival passes, signature water-bottle and T-shirts

Boogie Boys Blues Concert Volunteers Needed Sunday July 31st
Aurora Cultural Centre
• Help welcome kids and parents to fun interactive concert
• Help with set-up and breakdown

Aurora jazz+ Festival – July 29th, 30th & 31st – Town Park
The AJ+F – the best place to be on the civic long weekend to hear non-stop fabulous music, watch visual artists in action, purchase interesting crafts, eat and drink great food, and so much more….

Team Captain Volunteers Needed
• Responsible for organizing and time managing your team of volunteers
• Need strong communication & people skills
• Cash experience required
• Outgoing personality is an asset

Ticket Sales/ Tickers – Pair works together
• Ticket Sales – collect cash entrance fees
• Ticker – gather attendance statistical information

Greeters/Gate Security
• Greeters – pass out entrance bracelets to paid Festival goers plus handout AJF programs
• Gate Security – control entrance /exit of patrons, handle situations as they arise

Information Booth/ First Aid
• Answer questions and problem solve for patrons & volunteers
• Maintain volunteer snacks/ provide bank security
• Provide first aid attention for Festival goers and volunteers – require First Aid certificate

Hospitality/Surveys
• Answer patron questions in the field
• Conduct quick surveys

Floater
• Able to take on any task required
• Provide volunteer relief

Performer Services
• Assist musical performers/ visual artists with equipment set-up and break down
• Offer help as needed

Transportation (internal/external)
• Move equipment and supplies

Craft Blast Zone – crafting musical instruments for kids from recycled material
• Set up Zone
• Manage craft supplies
• Assist children and parents
• Kids Concert helper at the Cultural Centre

Photography/Tweets
• Provide both stills and videos of Festival including performers and activities
• Tweet about the event

Green Team (grounds)
• Keep Festival grounds free of litter
• Check washrooms
• Re-supply as needed
